Topoi Ch 3 Part 4
Not gonna lie, there’s a bunch of stuff in here I really want to try using for programming in my day job, especially the section on exponentiation. I’m not sure I could make it truly useful, given how abstract it is, but it seems fun to try.
As for the application to Langan, I’m still a little lost. I realize that in order to actually understand the CTMU beyond just parroting back soundbites, a good bit of surprisingly advanced math is necessary. Which I suppose is exactly why basically no one actually seems to understand it and probably part of the reason Langan never talks too in depth about the formalism - apart from being a bit guarded the background knowledge is just too much for a casual conversation or podcast. Hopefully I can change that a bit; if there really is something here maybe I can find the path up and help with the process. I’m more immediately interested in finding some application that can be shown in everyday life, particularly in some technical capacity (though I realize a technical application would probably be more difficult and less impactful for the average person than a religious or philosophical one).
